Dual Eligibles
Dual eligibles are people who qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid.
Medicare is for people 65 and older and certain younger disabled people.
Today, Medicaid is for families, children, the disabled and those over age 65 with very low incomes and few assets.
Medicaid helps pay for some things Medicare doesn’t. This includes long-term nursing home care.
