Deductible
The deductible is money you must pay before your health plan pays any costs of care. Some plans apply a separate deductible to certain types of services, such as hospital stays. Others apply one deductible to all care until you have paid the set deductible amount.
In general, the higher the plan’s deductible, the lower the premium.
